Grohl was to be the longest serving drummer of Nirvana’s short but intense run. Nirvana went on to sell over fifty million records worldwide, and to be referred to by Rolling Stone as the flagship band of Generation X. Whatever Grohl would go on to achieve, for many fans he will always be seen as the drummer for Nirvana.

Hailing from Canada, Sabian Cymbals is one of the biggest cymbal producers in the world. Founded in 1980, it is relatively young in Cymbal manufacturer terms however, as an off-shoot of Zildjian Cymbals, it also has one of the oldest pedigree’s in the world.

Paiste Cymbals

Paiste, from Switzerland, are one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of cymbals. According to their website, the correct pronouciation of Paiste is ‘pie-stee’. The name derives from the Finnish word meaning ‘Shine’.

Naturally Paiste are a popular supplier of a range of hi-hats, crashes and ride cymbals.
