At nearly 400, Zildjian Cymbals is one of the 300 oldest companies in the world. Originally from Instanbul it now operates out of the United States of America and is the oldest family-owned business there.

As with Sabian and Paiste, Zildjian produce a range of extremely popular crash, hi-hat and ride cymbals.

Hailing from Canada, Sabian Cymbals is one of the biggest cymbal producers in the world. Founded in 1980, it is relatively young in Cymbal manufacturer terms however, as an off-shoot of Zildjian Cymbals, it also has one of the oldest pedigree’s in the world.

Sabian are a popular provider of crash a cymbals, hi-hats, and ride cymbals.

Paiste Cymbals

Paiste, from Switzerland, are one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of cymbals. According to their website, the correct pronouciation of Paiste is ‘pie-stee’. The name derives from the Finnish word meaning ‘Shine’.

Naturally Paiste are a popular supplier of a range of hi-hats, crashes and ride cymbals.
